The following is a message directly from Coach Vicente!

Please send the following to the team: All players are invited to attend the game however, we want to remind players and parents of the parent/player manual which states that playing time is earned and decided by Coaching Staff. The level we are in and plans going forward forces us to focus on winning games along with making decisions that will benefit the players development.

We will follow up with a parent meeting to be able to explain this and address questions.

Lastly- the complex we play at is large and can be very confusing to find the fields. Be there early to have time to find the field. We are on field 44B.

08 Boys had their first game of the season and it was a hard defeat to take. Colorado Rush came out strong and scored the first goal of the game. FC had struggles with communication and moving the ball down the field during the first half. Diego stepped up and scored for FC to tie the game. Osiris, Gustavo, and Joel were trying hard to defend and hold Colorado Rush back. Cristian capitalized and scored for FC to finish the first half with a score of FC Greeley 2 and Colorado Rush 6.

The second half FC Greeley came out strong and fighting to win. Rigo had many saved goal attempts from Colorado Rush. The boys had more passing and communication. Diego capitalized on a corner kick from Chris and scored for FC. Diego assisted David in a goal. Diego once again was able to score a goal for FC. FC earned a penalty kick but was unable to score. After a hard battle, FC fell short 8-5.
